The 5 "R" Approach

The 5 ‘R’s stands for Remove, Replace, Re-inoculate, Repair and Rebalance. This approach expands the emphasis beyond the digestive system and recognises the need for balance in all areas of life.

Foods that are known to upset digestion needs to be removed. Any exclusion, especially processed food from the diet should be replaced with whole foods high in all essential nutrients. Re-inoculations involves putting the beneficial bacteria back into the gut by using food and supplement sources. As the digestive system comes into contact with many substances throughout the day it is very important to limit inflammatory foods as they can damage gut health. When damage occur we can repair the gut wall with nutrients and certain foods. Rebalancing is important in all areas of life to feel healthy and happy.
